The UK Alumni Association Legacy Initiative Program is an exclusive member benefit of the University of Kentucky Alumni Association and is our effort to assist our alumni in cultivating little Wildcats. Not only does the Legacy Initiative provide a great benefit to both association members and their children, but it also fosters UK loyalty and serves to excite Legacy children about their future at UK. Participation in the program may be all the encouragement your children need to motivate them to follow in their parent’s footsteps when it comes to college choice.
As part of the Legacy program, children of alumni will receive benefits all their own. The program consists of three components, including Future Wildcats, Legacy Students and Legacy Tuition.
Future Wildcats will receive an annual birthday card, and on milestone birthdays, such as a sweet 16, they will receive a gift! Special events are also held for Future Wildcats, like the Pumpkin Festival, Splish Splash Cats, Big Blue Santa and more!
Legacy Students and Legacy Tuition are for older prospective or accepted Wildcats. Students can receive special benefits while enrolled at UK. Special events and programming are held in conjunction with this component of the program, as well. Legacy Tuition provides special tuition rates for those alums with children who have moved out of state. Those who meet the qualifications are eligible for a discounted tuition rate!
